Whether you or a member of your family is looking to visit or immigrate to the United Kingdom out expert immigration lawyers can provide valuable advice that you need to ensure that your application is smooth and successful.
Our expert immigration solicitors are experienced and knowledgeable in every aspect of immigration law and applying for residency. At Matt Rowland Solicitors we understand that most successful applications depend on your initial submissions to the Home Office and therefore to maximize your chances of success, you must ensure that the right statements and evidence are presented at the outset.
Our immigration lawyers can provide bespoke advice. We understand that no two circumstances are the same and we will ensure that we act in accordance with your instructions and as it relates to your specific situation.
In recent years, the UK government has continued to increase restrictions on the rights to applicants who have been refused at first instance to appeal their decision. There are also greater restrictions on switching from one category to another. This is why your first application must be succinct, precise and correctly presented.
If you are thinking of making an application for visitation or residency, call our team of expert Immigration lawyers today. We can support you any type of immigration queries, whether it relates to first time applications, a repeat application, Asylum cases, an appeal against a decision by the UKVI and even Judicial Review cases.
Matt Rowland Solicitors have successfully represented clients entering the UK from abroad and seeking to remain in the UK.

QUALIFICATION OF STAFF
All work carried out in respect of immigration is supervised by a qualified solicitor, with all other members of the team fully trained.
KEY STAGES & TIME SCALES
Depending on the complexity we aim to submit client applications within 3 to 4 weeks of instruction.
Once you have submitted an application for a UK visa, your application and supporting documents will be reviewed by Home Office caseworkers, who will assess your eligibility and suitability for the category you are applying under. The Home Office will then make a decision on whether or not to grant you a visa and notify you of the outcome in writing.
The time it takes to receive a decision is known as your visa’s ‘processing time’. The Home Office has agreed customer service standards in place for visa processing times and aims to provide a decision on most applications within these set timeframes.
The Home office time agreed scales can be found here – https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/customer-service-standards
The Home Office aims to process non-settlement applications within 15 working days (3 weeks) and settlement applications within 120 working days (24 weeks) under standard processing times.
However, there are occasions where it may take longer to get a decision on your application. This includes when you need to provide further evidence or attend an interview, and when the Home Office decides that your application is “not straightforward” and therefore it is not possible to decide your application within the customer service targets. If this happens, the Home Office will usually notify you by email.
VISA PROCESSING TIMES FOR APPLICATIONS MADE OUTSIDE THE UK
According to the UKVI website, current processing times for applications made outside the UK are as follows:
• Work visas – 3 weeks
• Temporary work visas – 3 weeks
• Visit visas – 3 weeks
• Student visas – 3 weeks
• Family visas – 24 weeks
• Ukraine visas – 3 weeks
• British National (Overseas) visas – 12 weeks.
Depending on service availability and the visa category you are applying under, you may be able to pay for a faster decision using the ‘Priority’ or ‘Super Priority’ services.
With Priority service, you will usually receive a decision within 5 working days, or 30 working days for Family visa applications from outside the UK. Using the Super Priority service for visa and settlement applications means you’ll usually get a decision by the end of the next working day.
Due to high demand, the Home Office will be making more priority appointments available for customers who wish to utilise this service.
